Pine-Richland School District FAQs

This process is managed through the Division of Immunizations. At this point, there have been
no changes to the immunization requirements. If this changes, notification will be sent out via
               district-wide communications.

Q: How do I send the health documents into school?
Mail: You can mail any documents into the school, please mark the envelope “Attention School
               Nurse.”
Fax: Documents may be faxed into school. Please direct fax “Attention School Nurse.

                                   Mathematics Placement Information

Q: When will math placement letters be mailed for students going into grades 3-
               6?
A: Math placements for students in grades 3-6 will be shared with families prior to the end of the
school year. We are working on the specific method of communication (e.g. letter, email, or
through Home Access) and will share an update on how this information will be conveyed to
               families as soon as possible.

Q: How will the math pathways presentation be handled?

A: An online podcast will be created and sent out.

Q: How will students be assessed to determine Compacted and Extended/Current Math
placement? What about students who were going to be assessed for math
grade/subject acceleration? For example, a current 3rd grader who was going to be
considered for grade 4 math in 2020-2021.
A: We do not have enough information to answer this question at this point. We will continue to
monitor the health and safety guidelines from the state and CDC and will update the community
               as we are able.

                                                  Summer Events

Q: Will Kindercamp exercises still be held on June 8 and 9?

A: A revised process with tentative dates in August is being considered. Further
communications will be forthcoming as we get closer to the date and have additional clarification
on social distancing guidelines during that time period. Options for a podcast to incoming
kindergarten families may need to be considered depending on CDC, state, county, and district
               guidelines.
