Individuals with Disabilities Education Act Notice

All children with disabilities have available to them a free appropriate public education (FAPE) that emphasizes special
education and related services designed to meet their unique needs and prepare them for further education, employment
and independent living.

This is achieved through the creation of a student’s Individual Educational Program (IEP), by the IEP team. The special
education staff provides support services for children who have an intellectual disability, vision or hearing impairment,
emotional disturbance, autism, specific learning disability, speech and/or language impairment, or other health
impairment.

Our goal is to enable each student to participate as fully as possible in the regular education environment and to facilitate
the transition from school to the world of work or post-secondary education.
