Jenner used the term vaccine because this substance comes from a cow
which in Latin is vacca. Since then, the term vaccine has been known as a

suspension of attenuated microorganisms to cause disease in the body and
prevent humans from becoming infected from a dangerous disease.

Over the centuries, smallpox became a threat to mankind. But now, we

don't worry too much anymore, because the treatment and prevention of smallpox
has been discovered.

In groups of four students, make a short drama about the invention of

smallpox vaccine by Dr. Jenner with the following instructions:
1. The first student acts as a reporter in the village where Dr. Jenner lived

at that time.

2. The second student acts as Dr. Edward Jenner, the inventor of vaccine
who was interviewed by the reporter. Dr. Jenner told the reporter about

his observation, his suspicion, his experiment, and his result. Also

expressed to the reporter his expectation for the benefits of human kinds.
3. The third student acts as a mother who told the reporter her worriness

about the condition of her kid after the experiment.
4. The forth students acts James Phipps, the kid. He told the reporter how

he felt when he was being an experiment object of Dr. Jenner.
Lakukanlah bermain drama tersebut dengan menggunakan video conference

yang kalian rekam. Jika fasilitas ini tidak memungkinkan, buatlah transkrip drama

dari situasi tersebut.
