then that it was over. I said, "It's over. We've

won” — and you know what I mean when I

say, "We've won."

Well, in verse 17 Paul said, “Notwithstanding

the Lord stood with me, and strengthened

me; that by me the preaching might be fully

known, and that all the Gentiles might

hear…,” and this was accomplished because

Paul was in Rome, and Rome was the capital

of the Gentile world. Everything went out

from Rome. So throughout all the empire,

according to Romans 15:9, all heard preaching

through the apostle Paul, and here he is

standing before the courts. So the world did

get to hear the gospel through this man's

preaching and through this event. And in
