of us can say that? You've got to have a
walk with the Lord to be able to say that —
"Oh, Lord, thank you for afflicting me. It was
good. It taught me Your Word and it
brought me back to the place where I need
to be so that You can use me." How many
have ever said that? I've said that. I've
found out that there are many benefits from
afflictions. I don't like sickness. I don't like
infirmities. I don't like weaknesses. But I’ve
found out that afflictions prepare us for life
here and also for death. Most live as though
they're never going to die. Do you know
what affliction does? These things soften
our heart and sober our mind. Infirmities,
afflictions, sicknesses, and heartaches draw
us closer to the Lord and help us bring our
