do—and our activities and associations should

be considered to be opportunities to

communicate God’s Word and God’s life-

giving message of salvation.

EPILOGUE

Sadly, the grace of God has been cheapened

today by many professing Christians who defy

by example the power of the Gospel of Christ

to produce holiness and godly character in

those who repentantly believe that Gospel. A

true Christian is far from being “only a sinner

saved by grace,” and it’s incorrect and

misleading to refer to Christians in that

way. Paul tells Christians in Romans 6:14

that “sin shall not have dominion over you,”

and 1 John 4:4 says, “Ye are of God, little
