Let me remind you of this before I read:

Romans chapter 15 and verse 4 says that

the things that were written before — that

is, the Old Testament — were written to give

us hope; 1 Corinthians 10:11, the things that

are written before are written for our

warning; and then in 2 Timothy chapter 3,

verse 16, “All scripture is given by inspiration

of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for

reproof, for correction, for instruction in

righteousness.” So God has given us the

entire Bible for our benefit.
