fight — “for the faith which was once delivered
unto the saints.” The Devil wants to rob you
and me as individuals. He's robbed our nation
of any truths and principles, and he wants to
rob the churches across our land of any truth,
so Jude is saying here that we are to contend.
That word means to fight, to make warfare.
That word means to agonize, to strive, to stand,
no compromise, no traditions of men.
Now, look at this. Here's the reason that we
must contend for the faith that was once
delivered to the saints, and that's very easy to
find, by the way. Acts 2:42 talks about the
apostles' doctrine. There's that faith. Acts,
chapter 6, verse 7, talks about being obedient
to that faith, the faith. When Jude says
"contending for the faith," this is more than just
simple faith. When he says "the faith," he's
