worldly lifestyles had a detrimental effect

on my goals and on my focus in life, for

which I still have many regrets and for

which I am still reaping some consequences.

I can attest to the truth of 1 Corinthians

15:33: “Be not deceived: evil communi-

cations corrupt good manners.”

Because of another move and also because

of becoming aware of some differences in

church practices with the Brethren church,

we began attending a Southern Baptist

Church but did not join nor get involved in

church life again until we moved to Hemet,

California. Our two children were both

married at this time, and our move to our
