One of those sermons was based upon Luke

14:33 where Jesus said, “whosoever he be

of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he

cannot be my disciple,” and in Matthew

10:37 & 38, Jesus said, “He that loveth

father or mother more than me is not

worthy of me: and he that loveth son or

daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

And he that taketh not his cross, and

followeth after me, is not worthy of me.”

My husband and I both began to realize

that God was calling us to make these kinds

of sacrifices in order to obey His will for our

lives. To give up a close relationship with

your children and grandchildren in order to
