be obedient to God is truly the ultimate

sacrifice for parents and grandparents. I’ve

identified much with the Biblical account of

Abraham when God called him to “Get

thee out of thy country, and from thy

kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto

a land that I will shew thee” (Gen. 12:1) and

also Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice his

son Isaac in order to obey God.

In my effort to be faithful to God and His

Word, I also think often of Hebrews 12:3-4

which says, “For consider him [Jesus] that

endured such contradiction of sinners

against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint

in your minds. Ye have not yet resisted unto
