                    Matthew 18 gives instructions as to how



             believers  are  to  resolve  personal  offenses



             between each other, but an overall principle



             for  personal  offenses,  whether  those



             offenses be at the hands of a fellow Christian



             or an enemy of righteousness, can be found



             in  Romans  12:17,  “Recompense  to  no



             man evil for evil,” and Proverbs 15:1 tells us



             that “A soft answer turneth away wrath: but



             grievous words stir up anger.”




                    But although it is a sin for Christians to



             be wrathful or seek retribution for a personal



             offense, it’s not a sin for Christians to defer



             the  offense,  as  Jesus  did,  “to  him  that



             judgeth  righteously.”  First  Peter  2:23  says
