others. To know God is the foundation of all
blessings, truth, and life. An unknown God
cannot really be worshiped, served, or trusted.
In the book of Acts in chapter 17 and verse 23,
the apostle Paul said, “I found an altar with this
inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom
therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I
unto you.” Paul was in Athens, Greece, on
Mars’ Hill with many idols and many idolaters,
and he said, “Your worship is in ignorance
because you do not know the God of the Bible,
the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.” And
then the Lord Jesus said in John 17:3, “And this
is life eternal, that they might know thee the
only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou
hast sent.” It is important that we know the
God who we claim to believe in and who we
follow and who we tell others about. So any
