I'm going to read some other verses in this

chapter, but I hope that you've looked at the

pictures I put up on the board back there

(indicating). I'm going to talk about them as we

get to our third point in the message. We're

beginning in the New Testament. This is New

Testament doctrine.

Modesty

Let's go ahead and get into our first point

this morning, and that is modesty — or I could

say the simplicity of our clothing. Now, I’m

going to read these two verses again. The

apostle Paul says in verses 9 and 10 of 1 Timothy

2, “In like manner also, that women adorn

themselves in modest apparel, with

shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided

hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But
