10y FS Labrador Retriever with a 3‐day history of progressive obtundation. There is a mass effect involving the right cerebral hemisphere,
resulting in midline shift and compression and distortion of the ventricular system. The gray–white matter interface is indistinct on the
right (b). White matter T2 hyperintensity on the right is indicative of vasogenic edema, and the sulci and gyri are effaced bilaterally.
Subtentorial herniation is also evident (d: arrow). The meninges on the right moderately enhance and are markedly thickened following
contrast administration (c: arrowheads). Pial involvement is recognized by the enhancement pattern that follows the contours of the
brain surface. Multisystemic large‐cell B‐cell lymphoma was confirmed by postmortem examination. In addition to the meningeal
involvement (e: arrowheads), there was widespread deep invasion of neoplastic cells from the leptomeninges and vessels to both
cerebral hemispheres, the hippocampus, and the thalamus.
