Method
                                                The chain sinnet is very
                                                simple to make. It
                                                begins with a bight,
                                                with the ends held
                                                parallel to each other
                                                (1). Put your hand
                                                through the eye of the
                                                bight and take hold of
                                                the longer end of the
                                                rope (2). Pull your hand
                                                out again to form a
                                                noose as described on
                                                page 101 (3). Now pull
                                                a bight from the longer
   4
                                                end through the loop of
                                                the noose (4). Repeat
                                                the operation until the
                                                chain reaches the
                                                desired length (5,6).
                                                 The chain can be
                                                instantly released
                                                simply by pulling on the
                                                working end. To
                                                prevent it undoing.
                                                thread the end through
                                                the last eye instead of
                                                bringing it through in a
                                                bight.
