only limit to how many times
it can be doubled is the
physical size of the knot, but
increasing the ply of the
matting does not increase its
size, but only makes it firmer.
When it is solid, the matting is
finished (16), but there are
still a couple more steps to
complete to make it more
secure, and so ready for use.
First of all, pass the ends
under the matting and finish
them off by tucking them into
the weave of the mat, and
second. sew up all the points
of intersection with a needle
and thread.
