A Ask
                                                    s
                                                      k

                                  How do we pronounce “ask”?

We say the “s” first and then the “k.”

It’s even more challenging when we end with “s”
                                            or past tense.

Say the “s,” then the “k,” and then the “s”
                                          or the “t” sound.

Note: “Axe” was part of Old English. It was used in the early 1300’s in
The Canterbury Tales and in The Coverdale Bible in 1535. The
pronunciation is not a mistake; it is a dialect of English.
“I need to ask you a question.”

                                   “He asks too many questions.”

                                      “I asked you that already.”
