We should balance our VERBAL, VOCAL, and VISUAL
communication to be consistent with our message. We make
an impression by what we say, how we sound, and how we
look. If we mispronounce or misuse words, our credibility
may be questioned. This book includes some common
misspeaks that might undermine our professional presence.

There is a broad spectrum of speaking that includes
professional and casual or colloquial speech. In certain
settings, the following words might be considered a
misspeak, yet may be appropriate in casual contexts.
