The words are categorized by word choice/grammatical
misspeaks, pronunciation misspeaks, words with two
acceptable pronunciations, and challenging words.
Phonetic symbols are not used in this book. In order to
understand the pronunciation, the words are written out
how they sound. The stressed syllable is written in upper
case letters. The specific sound that is important to identify
is in bold and underlined.
In my encounters with numerous non-native English-
speaking clients, I’ve become aware of the many challenges
and idiosyncrasies in pronouncing English words. I added
some of the more common misspeaks at the end of this
book.
