 Supply and Demand of products of
exports. The number one issue is
capacity. There are two issues, a) We
have the product but is it exportable
quality? b) How to add value for a niche
market.
 Developing the value chain is the key.

 One of the most key initiatives
introduced by the Hon. Minister Bandula
Gunawardena, the concept of export
processing villages with 5 products
(Coffee, Kithul, Vaniila, TJC Mango,
Paper Baskets with recycle paper) and
Suresh De Mel with 80 villages. Through this, we have
Chairman and connected this with the exporters to
Chief Executive of develop the supply chain.
Sri Lanka Export
Development Board  Export Houses will be another new
concept which we have introduced with
the idea of a responsible intermediary
between the exporters and the supply
chain. It is a responsible intermediary to
the supply chain.
