Workers’ Day 2021
(May Day) celebrations
n line with the International Workers’ Day 2021
(May Day) celebrations, the Member Services and
IEngagement Committee of CPM Sri Lanka organized
an event to donate a bag of essentials (Rs.5,000/- worth)
for selected elderly cleaning/janitorial Municipal street
cleaners.
The Institute wanted to recognise them and their essential
work which very often goes unnoticed.
The members of the Institute contributed generously to the
estimated budget for this noble cause by donating money
and goods.
Due to the prevailing situation of Covid19, the event has
been postponed but CPM Sri Lanka will ensure that these
goods will be given only to the street workers who collect
refuse in carts.
