Maddy’s mother is an avid horsewoman so Maddy
spent many summers at dressage shows with her;
but needing more thrills she wound up at a hunter/
jumper barn, spending her childhood as the quint-
essential barn rat. Maddy bought her first horse as
a yearling; developing AIR MILES Z all the way to
FEI and National Grand Prix levels. This has given
her much pleasure and satisfaction. She’s proud of
competing in numerous FEI competitions on her
20-year-old CSHA approved stallion, SALVATORE.
Maddy’s riding career goal is to continue to build the best possible partnership with her horses, developing them to their greatest potential. Her goals are to ride in the International Ring at Spruce Meadows, win a Grand Prix and FEI competition.
SCARLET PIMPERNEL is by the great Selle Francais stallion DIAMONT DE SEMILLY, out of URANIA VAN OVERIS Z (UDARCO). The dam, having impeccable performance bloodlines, competed in the 1.40m division. Maddy is hope- ful SCARLET will follow in their footsteps. The filly did 3 months under saddle in her 3 year-old year (2021) before being turned out for the winter. Maddie brought SCARLET back into work in April and is hoping to show her this summer.
Maddy is interested in hearing John and Beezie Madden’s recommendations to keep her keen, workaholic young mare engaged and entertained while not overtaxing her developing body. Finding the balance to engage the mind, develop the body without drilling is her goal.
