Harlem
CSHA 2016 Bay Gelding
Kristin started riding when she was 7 years-old,
and got her first horse at 10 which she competed
and learned on. When she was 15 she moved to a
new barn and got her first horse from Europe which
really started her on her show jumping path. 29
years later she is still doing what she loves. Kristin
competed at the Royal in Toronto in the CET Finals,
ending up in a top placing overall. That year at the
Royal, she also won the 1.40m JrAm Division which
was a big accomplishment. Kristin jumped in her
first World Cup competition under lights at age 21 but she feels every horse she has ridden has given her an ac- complishment to be proud of. Now, with 3 children, Kristin’s riding goals have changed. She would like to continue riding and hopes her children will share the same love of horses. She would love to have another horse to jump in the bigger classes again but for now she is happy to bring the young ones along.
HARLEM’s sire is HARLEY VAN HET EXHELHOF ( by DARCO) out of SEVITA (MARLON). Both parents competed to 1.50m, Harlem has high performance bloodlines to live up to. HARLEM is a homebred and due to raising a family he has been lightly shown as a 5 year old up to 1m and in one 5 year-old class. He is presently schooling 1.20m and Kristin hopes to get good advice and tips from John and Beezie to help her develop HARLEM to the best he can be.
