Balıkçılar, sabahın ilk saatlerinde denize açılıyor. Teknele- ri de öyle lüks değil. Ahşaptan, basit tekneler. O teknelerle koskoca okyanusa nasıl açılıyorlar bende şaşırıp kalıyorum. Ama balıkçılık çok önemli bu adada. En önemli geçim kay- nağı diyebilirim. Dalış yapınca “Ne kadar tatlı balıklarmış” dediğimiz renkli balıkların hepsi burada yeniliyor.
MEYVE SEBZE PAZARI
Zanzibar denince akla ilk gelenler arasında tropikal mey- veler oluyor. Çünkü bu topraklara kış hiç uğramıyor. Hep sıcak hep yaz. Hava sıcaklığı hep bu topraklarda 30 dere- ce civarında. Bizim ülkemize kış gelince bu topraklara daha sıcak yaz geliyor, bizim ülkemize yaz geldiğindeyse bu topraklarda yaz yağmurlu geçiyor. Ama kesinlikle hava sı- caklığında bir değişiklik olmuyor. Bu nedenle hava tropikal olduğundan bizim ülkemizde yetişmeyen envaiçeşit mey- ve ve sebzeler bu topraklarda yetişiyor.
TROPİKAL MEYVELERİN KRALI MANGO
Bu toprakların öyle lezzetli mangosu var ki insan mango- ya doyamıyor. Mango meyvesi çok faydalı. İçinde 4-5 mey- venin vitaminini barındırıyor. Ve insanlar bu topraklarda mango ile besleniyorlar diyebilirim.
ANANAS
Dünyanın en lezzetli ananası burada diyemem ama aro- ması ve sulu oluşu hiç de fena değil. Gayet hafif ve güzel bir tadı var. Ananas dünyanın en ilginç yetişen meyvelerinden biri. Yerden biten bir ağacın üzerinde yetişiyor. Kırmızı hâli ilaç sektöründe kullanılırken sarı hâli de meyve olarak ol- dukça lezzetle tüketiliyor.
Fishermen sail in the early hours of the morning. The boats are not so luxurious either. They are simple boats made of wood. I’m dumbfounded to see them sail on the ocean with those boats. But fishing is very important on this island. It is the most important source of income. All of the colorful fish we call “ How sweet ” are eaten here.
FRUIT AND VEGETABLE MARKET
When we hear Zanzibar the first thing that comes to our minds is the tropical fruits. Because there is no winter on this land. It is always hot it is always summer. The air tem- perature is always around 30 degrees. When it is winter in our country, this land is hotter in summer, when it is sum- mer in our this land is having a rainy summer. But there is no change in air temperature. For this reason, because the climate is tropical, fruits and vegetables that don’t grow in our country can grow in this country.
MANGO, THE KING OF THE TROPICAL FRUITS
There is such a mango in this land thatyou cannot get enough of it. Mango fruit is very nutritious. It contains the vitamins of 4-5 fruits. And I can say that the people here feed on mango.
PINEAPPLE
I can’t say it is the most delicious pineapple in the world, but its aroma and juice is not bad. It has a very light and beautiful taste. Pineapple is one of the most interesting fruits of the world. It grows on a tree that is on the ground. While its red version is used in the pharmaceutical indus- try, its yellow version is consumed as a fruit.
