Kapı Tokmakları
Şehirde gezerken özellikle renkli kapılar ve tokmakları dik- kat çekiyor. Renkli kapılar Malta’nın kültürel mirasını sim- gelerken üzerlerindeki kapı tokmakları da kültürün önemli bir parçası. Kapı tokmakları kişinin gücünü gösteren en önemli simgeymiş. Yani bir prestij göstergesiymiş. Bu kapı tokmakları eski şehre mükemmel bir hava katıyor.
Eski Şehrin Mükemmel Yapıları
Eski şehirde tarihi kapılardan birinin içine girerseniz bir- birinden harika manzaralarla karşılaşıyorsunuz. Bizim girdiğimiz kapılardan biri kafe çıktı ama ne kafe. Medina surlarının üstüne kurulmuş, mükemmel bir manzaraya sahip olan bu kafe tarihi hissetmenizi sağlıyor. Medina’da surların üstüne kurulmuş her bütçeye uygun kafeler res- toranlar mevcut.
Girdiğimiz diğer bir kapı ise el sanatlarını satıldığı bir dük- kan çıktı. Cam sanatıyla da meşhur olan Malta adası cam- larla tarihini konuşturuyor adeta. Farklı tasarımlarla Mal- ta’nın kültürünü anlatan cam eserlere ilgi ve alâka oldukça yoğun. Eski şehir gezimiz boyunca her döneme ait yapılar gördük. Araplar döneminden cami kalmamış fakat sonra- ki gelen medeniyetlere ait kiliseler şehrin içinde kendini gösteriyor. Adada daha gezilecek ve görülecek çok yer var. Özellikle mükemmel plajlarından bahsetmeden olmaz.

Door Knockers
When traveling around the city, particularly the colorful doorknockers draw attention. The colorful doors sym- bolize the cultural heritage of Malta and the doorknock- ers constitute a significant part of the culture. Door- knockers are the most significant symbol of a person’s strength. So, they are signs of the prestige. These door- knockers provide a perfect atmosphere to the old city.
Excellent Structures of the Old City
If you enter one of the historic gates in the old town, you will have magnificent views. One of the gates we en- tered, we have found a magnificent coffee shop. Locat- ed on the walls of the Mdina, this coffee offers a splendid view. There are many coffee shops and restaurants in Mdina, which are suitable for every budget.
From another gate, we have found a shop, where hand- icrafts were sold. The island of Malta, which is also fa- mous for its glass art, reveals its historical heritage. The glass works describing the culture of Malta with various designs greatly draw attention. During our trip to the old city, we saw structures from each period. There are no mosques left from the Arabs period, but we can observe the churches of the later civilizations in the city. There are many places to see on the island. Particularly we need to mention the perfect beaches.
