PALMİYE ADALARI
Burada palmiye ağacı çok olduğundan ve çok sevildi- ğinden adalar palmiye şeklinde inşa edilmiş. Denizin üze- rine resmen palmiye ekmiş Dubaililer. Toplamda iki tane plamiye adası yapılmış Dubai kıyılarına. Biri Palm Cümey- ra diğeri ise Cebel Ali olarak isimlendiriliyor. Uzaydan da görünen bu adalarda oldukça lüks oteller, villalar ve rezi- danslar yer almakta. Rezervasyonsuz ve otel müşterisi olmayanların giremediği bu otellerin çoğu altın kaplama odalara sahip. Palmiye Adaları, Dubai’nin sahil şeridini iki katına çıkarmış durumda.
BURJ KHALİFE
Mega yapılarda kendileri arasında yarış yapan Dubaili- ler, her geçen gün sıra dışı gökdelenler dikmeye devem ediyorlar. Teknolojide, mühendislikte sınırların zorlandığı bu topraklarda neredeyse gök maviye değecek mimari- siyle aynı iğneyi andırıyor Burj Khalife.
Araplar, bu yapı için kendi çöl güllerini de yetiştirmiş- ler. Yerden 828 metre yüksekte olan bu dev gökdelen 164 kattan meydana geliyor. Dünyanın en yükseğe çı- kan asansörü bu binada bulunuyor. 1,5 milyar dolar para harcanarak yapılan bu görkemli gökdelen 2909 basa- maktan ve 1000 daireden meydana geliyor. Satışa çık- tığı ilk 8 saate bütün daireler tükenmiş. Milyon dolarlara satılan daireler Dubaililerin prestij göstergelerinden biri. Gökdelenin yapımında 26 bin adet cam kullanılmış. Cam- lar, rüzgâr testi yapılırken savaş uçağının motoru ile test edilmiş, çok özel güneşi yansıtan aynalarla yapılmış. Bu camların silinmesi 6 ayı buluyormuş. Binanın en üst katla- rının da emire ait olduğu söyleniyor. Birçok filmin çekildiği bu mükemmel yapı her zaman kalabalık. Binaya gelenler 125’inci katta yer alan gözlem terasına çıkmadan buradan ayrılmıyor. 30-40 saniye gibi kısa bir sürede 800 metre yükseğe çıkan asansöründe de bu özel binanın tanıtımını yapan bir video oynatılıyor. Ama tabii en üst kata ulaşmak için yaklaşık bir saat kadar sıra bekleniyor.
Müthiş derecede ilgi gören bir turizm merkezi bu bina. İçinde çok lüks bir Avm’nin, otelin, ofislerin olduğu bu eş- siz yapı 335 bin kilometrekarelik alana yayılmış ve 35 bin kişinin yaşayacağı şekilde bir şehir olarak tasarlanmış.
PALM ISLANDS
Since the palm trees are very popular here, the islands take the form of a palm tree. They have planted a palm tree on the sea. In total, two palm islands are built on the coast of Dubai. One is called Palm Jumeirah and the oth- er is called Palm Jebel Ali. These islands, which are seen from space as well, host many luxury hotels, villas and residences. If you don’t have the reservation or you are not a guest of the hotel, you cannot enter the hotel and most of the hotels have gold-plated rooms. The Palm Is- lands have doubled the coastline of Dubai.
BURJ KHALIFA
Racing among each other for mega structures, the people of Dubai continue to build extraordinary skyscrapers. In this lands where the boundaries of technology and engineering are pushed, Burj Khalifa looks like a needle with its tall architecture.
The Arabs also grew their own desert roses for this struc- ture. This giant skyscraper, which is 828 meters high from the ground, consists of 164 floors. The world’s highest elevator is located in this building. This majestic skyscraper, built by spending 1.5 billion dollars, consists of 2909 steps and 1000 apartments. When they started to sell the apartments, they were sold within 8 hours. Apartments sold to millions of dol- lars are certainly the sign of prestige for the people living in Dubai. 26 thousand pieces of glass were used in the con- struction of the skyscraper. The windows were tested with the engine of the warplane against the wind and the windows reflect the sun perfectly. It takes six months to clean these windows. They say that the top floors of the building belong to an Emir. While this perfect structure was used in many movies, it is always crowded. Those who arrive to the build- ing do not leave without visiting the observation terrace on the 125th floor. The elevator, which goes up to 800 meters in 30-40 seconds, also plays a video that promotes this special building. But of course, it is necessary to wait for an hour in the line to get in the elevator.
This building is a touristic center that is extremely popu- lar. This unique building, hosting many luxurious malls, ho- tels, and offices uses a floor area of 335 thousand km. and it is designed as a city that may host 35 thousand people.
