Lamarr, gizli kodlama sisteminin mucidi ve aynı za- manda dönemin popüler oyuncularından biri. 1914 yılın- da, Yahudi asıllı olarak Avusturya’da dünyaya geldi. Çok sayıda popüler filmde rol olan Lamarr, Nazi sempatizanı ve silah tüccarı olan Avusturyalı Hedy Lamarr ile evlen- dikten sonra, eşinin iş toplantılarına katılarak, silahlar- la ilgili birçok şey öğrendi. 1933 yılında, Ecstasy isimli filmdeki çıplaklığı ile tartışma konusu oldu ve eşinden ayrılarak gizlice Paris’e kaçtı. Lamarr, who appeared on many popular lms, married Austrian Hedy Lamarr, a Nazi sympathizer and arms dealer, then joined her husband’s business meetings and learned a lot about weapons. The USA Navy did not adopt this technology until the 1960s; but today the working principles of this tech- nology have been incorporated into Wi-Fi, CDMA and Bluetooth technologies. In addition, she was honored in 2014 because of this work by being listed in the famous National Inventors Hall in Alexandria city in Virginia state in the United States.
