Klimt’in, Adele’nin içindeki “Femme Fatale”ı ortaya çı- kardığı bu tablo, ressamın diğer kadın portreleri gibi “kadını soymadan çıplak bırakan” cinsten.
2006 yılında New York’taki Neue Galerisi‘nin sahibi Ro- nald Lauder tarafından 135 milyon dolara satın alır ve La- uder, eser için “Neue Gallerie’nin Mona Lisa’sı” yorumunu yapar. Lakin, bu eser, yıllarca dava konusu olur. Adele’nin Viyana’da sergilenmesini vasiyet ettiği portre, 2. Dünya Savaşı’nda Naziler’in eline geçer ve açık artırmayla Vi- yana’dan uzaklaşır. Eserin peşini bırakmayan Maria Alt- mann‘ın durumu (Adele’nin yeğeni), Terrence Turner’in çektiği 2008 çıkışlı “Adele’s Wish” adlı filmde de gösterilir. Ayrıca, eserin hengameli yolculuğu, “Stealing Klimt” adlı 2007 çıkışlı belgeselde de anlatılıyor.
“Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer”
(Gustav Klimt - 1907)
Gustav Klimt, who came to the world in Austria in 1862,
died in 1918. The painter, who is a real lover of Vienna, es- tablished “Secession Association” together with a few painters to develop the art in the capital, but the erotic line is incompatible with the state and leaves from the associa- tion for some reasons.
When he was 41 years old, Klimt, who agreed to make a portrait of Bloch’s wife Adele Bloch-Bauer upon the re- quest of his friend Ferdinand Bloch, drafts in the same year and completes the portrait at the end of three years. When we look at the work in dimensions of 138 cm to 138 cm, we see that a Jewish woman, clasping her hands and being prone to pain, but intellectual, noble and modern, responds to our looks. Adele, who is in modest, distant,
Marilyn Monroe (Andy Warhol)
Parayı seven sanatçı, kendine has teknikler geliştirerek seri üretime odaklanmaya başlar.
“There’s beauty in everything, just not ever- ybody sees it” Andy Warhol
Popüler kültüre dair ne varsa, Andy’nin eser- lerinin birer nesnesi haline gelebiliyordu. Ma- rilyn’in ölümüne üzülen sanatçı, en az Marilyn kadar meşhur olacak 20. yüz yılın Mona Lisa’sı olacak bu eseri ortaya çıkartır.
Marilyn Monroe (Andy Warhol)
Andy Warhol wants to jump in the middle of
the arts market as soon as he graduates from
art design in 1949. Andy believes that any object in daily life can be a work of art. His interest of graphic art causes him to orient himself to the logic of work which can be pro- duced serially.
The artist who likes money starts to concentrate on se- rial production by developing his own techniques.
Andy Warhol is aware that the United States is a coun- try based on capitalism. He is also aware of the plans of the Western bloc to become a cultural center in the face of the Eastern bloc.
The United States successfully makes the project of cre-
delicate and somewhat mournful state in spite of magnif- icence of her dress with a piece of gold and eye gure, is again integrated with the background of gold color in the work in which Klimt used real gold (his father was a Catholic jewelry master).
Adele Bauer, who was born on August 9, 1881, was a manic depressive. The hall of Adele, a high-class member, was lled in the evenings by Stefan Zweig, Gustav Mahler, Johann Strauss, and Jacob Wassermann. When she mar- ried her husband Ferdinand, Adele continued to buy the works of art, which was the height of ambition of her, and she was also a good customer of Klimt. So much so that she built a place in the name of Klimt six years before she died from meningitis, in 1919 and kept the works of the master painter here.
This painting, which Klimt reveals Adele’s “Femme Fa- tale”, is just in the type of “leaving the woman naked with- out undressing” as the other female portraits of the paint- er.
It is bought by Ronald Lauder, owner of the Neue Gal- lery in New York, for 135 million dollars in 2006 and Lauder makes the comment of “Mona Lisa of Neue Gallerie” for the work. However, this work becomes a matter in dis- cuss for years. The portrait, in which Adele bequeathed to be exhibited in Vienna, is taken possession of the Nazis in World War II and moves away from Vienna by auction. The situation of Maria Altmann (Adele’s nephew), who follows about the work, is also shown in the lm named “Adele’s Wish” from 2008, made by Terrence Turner. In addition, the journey of the work with tumult has been also described in documentary named “Stealing Klimt” from 2007.
ating its own culture real by opening its doors to all artists who were living in fear of Soviet at that time, successfully leading to the project of creating their own culture.
He decides to use the most famous face of the popular culture, which passed away in 1962, in his art.
“There’s beauty in everything, just not everybody sees it” Andy Warhol
Whole of the popular culture could become an object of Andy’s works. The artist feeling sorry for Marilyn’s death reveals this work, which will be at least as famous as Mari- lyn and which will be Mona Lisa of the 20th century.
