Seyşeller Nerede?
Seyşeller, resmî adıyla Seyşeller Cumhuriyeti, Afrika kıtasına bağlı adalar ülkesi. Seyşeller, Hint Okyanusu’n- da 115’ten fazla adadan meydana gelen bir adalar ülkesi olup, Afrika ana kıtasının doğusunda, Madagaskar’ın ise, kuzeydoğusunda yer alır. Ülkenin başkenti ise, Victoria...
Ülke nüfusunun yüzde 70’lik kısmı, başkentinde yer aldığı Mahe Adası’nda yaşam sürüyor. Mahe Adası, Sey- şeller’in dünyaya açılan kapısı; çünkü uluslararası havali- manı bu adada bulunuyor.
Ülkenin en önemli geçim kaynağı turizm. Yılda 3-4 mil- yona yakın turist ağırlıyor bu ülke... Avrupa’dan inanıl- maz talep gören bu adalar, Fransızlar tarafından bugün resmen işgal edilmiş durumda. Zaten, Seyşeller tarihte ilk olarak 1768 yılında Seyşel isimli bir Fransız denizci tarafından keşfediliyor ve bu sebeple de adalar Seyşel- ler olarak anılıyor. Fakat, Fransızların saltanatı pek uzun sürmüyor; çünkü adalar 1794 yılında Birleşik Krallık’ın hakimiyetine giriyor ve İngilizler adayı çok uzun yıllar yö- netiyor. 1976 yılına kadar adalar İngiliz sömürgesi olarak kalan ülkede İngilizlerin etkisi her köşede kendini göste- riyor. Where is the Seychelles located?
The Seychelles, the o cial name is the Republic of Seychelles, is a country of islands connected to the Af- rican continent. The Seychelles is an island country with more than 115 islands in the Indian Ocean and is located in east of Africa’s main continent and northeast of Mad- agascar. The capital city of the country is Victoria.
70 percent of the country’s population lives in Mahe Island, where it is located in the capital. Mahe Island is Seychelles’ gateway to the world; Because the interna- tional airport is located on this island.
The most important source of income in the country is tourism. This country hosts nearly 3-4 million tour- ists in a year. These islands, which are greatly demand- ed from Europe, were o cially occupied today by the French. In fact, the Seychelles was rst discovered in 1768 by a French sailor named Seyşel, and for this rea- son the islands are called the Seychelles.
