Bir hayvansever olarak sokak hayvanları için neler yapıyorsunuz?
✔ Elbette, kendi kapımın önünden başlayarak oturduğum sitede baktığımız pek çok kedimiz var. Bunun dışında da Haytap gibi sivil toplum kuruluşlarına elimden geldiğince destek olmaya çalışıyorum.
Mottomuz #satınalmasahiplen! Neden insanlar bir canı sahiplenmeli?
✔ Eğer, hayatınıza bir can katmaya karar verdiyseniz bu hayvanın bir canı, duyguları olduğunu ve onu benimseyip seveceğinizi baştan kabul etmişsiniz demektir. Bu cana saygısı olan kimse de sanki bir kıyafet, kozmetik veya eşya gibi özel üretilmiş, bir canlı gibi davranılmayan bir hayva- nı almayı düşünmemeli. Gidip bir hayvan satın aldığımız sürece bu sistem devam edecek. Ancak, nasıl ki arkadaş edinirken veya eş seçerken gidip de bir marketten seç- miyorsak, arkadaşımız olacak hayvanı gidip bir marketten seçmemeliyiz. O yüzden tek çare sahiplenmek.
Peki hayvanlar için hayal ettiğiniz dünya?
✔ Hayvan haklarını en yüksek haliyle konuşabildiğimiz, sadece hayvanlar değil tüm canlıların yaşama hakkına saygı duyduğumuz bir dünya hayal ediyorum. Umarım, bizim çocuklarımız / torunlarımız bu hayali gerçek kılar.
What are you doing for street animals as an animal lover?
✔ Of course, we have a lot of cats that we look after in front of my own door at on the building complex, where I reside. Other than that, I try to support NGOs like Hay- tap as much as I can.
Our motto is #donotbuyadopt! Why should people adopt a pet?
✔ If you have decided to add a life to your life, you have already accepted that this animal has a life, feelings and that you will adopt and love it. This respectful per- son should not think of buying a specially produced an- imal like the clothes, cosmetics or goods and that is not treated as a living thing. This system will continue as long as we go and buy an animal. However, as we do not select our friends or spouse from the market, we shouldn’t visit a market when we are selecting our pet. So the only way is to adopt it.
And what kind of a world you dream of for animals?
✔ I imagine a world where we can talk about animal rights at their highest level, where we respect not only animals but also all living beings. I hope our children/grandchil- dren make this dream come true.
