Yine Protestanlık mezhebinin yayılmaya başlaması da ge- lişmeyi arttırdı. 17. yüzyılda ise İsveç sürekli olarak savaş- lara sahne oldu. Bunlardan en önemlileri bugünkü Baltık Devletleri’nin bulunduğu yerde kurulan Lehistan, Litvanya birliği gibi devletlerle yapılanlardır. Bu savaşlar arasında en belirgin olan ve mağlubiyet ile sonuçlanan Kircholm Sava- şı, İsveç’in krallık tarihindeki önemli olaylardan biridir.
Fakat Gustav Vasa zamanında İsveç çok önemli adımlar atmış. Krallık sayesinde bir devlet şeklinde yönetilmeye başlamış ve çok gelişmiş. Bugünkü İsveç 17. yüzyılda’da şekillenmiştir.
Stokholm’de Ulaşım
Stokholm denince benim aklıma ilk olarak mükemmel bi- siklet yolları geliyor. Şehrin her köşesinden, ülkenin her yerine giden mükemmel bisiklet yolları var. Ve herkesin uygun fiyatlara bisiklet kiralama şansı. Turistler için kira- lama bedeli yarım saati yarım Avro iken yerliler belli bir süreliğine ücretsiz olarak kiralama yapabiliyorlar. Bisiklet kullanımının arttırılması amacıyla insanlara pek çok kolay- lık tanınıyor.
Isveç’te Ilginçlikler
İsveç’te bizi en çok şaşırtan olaylardan biri ‘’ayı’’ kelime- sinin bir iltifat olarak kullanılmasıydı. Biz de iyi bir şey ya- pıldığında söylenen, söylendiği insanı gururlandırabilen “aslanım benim” kalıbı İsveç de “ayım benim” olarak kul- lanılmakta. Sevdiğiniz bir kişiye ayım derseniz ona iltifat etmiş oluyorsunuz. Sizce de çok ilginç değil mi?
Again, the spread of Protestantism has increased the de- velopment. In the 17th century, Sweden was the scene for wars. The most significant of these are those made with states such as Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth, founded in the place where today’s Baltic States are lo- cated. Battle of Kircholm, the most obvious one of these battles that resulted with defeat, is one of the important events in the Swedish kingdom history.
But under the reign of Gustav Vasa, Sweden had taken significant steps. Thanks to the kingdom, it began to be governed as a state and developed very much. Today’s Sweden was shaped in the 17th century.
Transportation in Stockholm
The first thing that comes to my mind in Stockholm are the perfect biking routes. There are excellent cycling routes from all corners of the city to all parts of the coun- try. And everyone has the chance to rent bikes at afford- able rates. While the tourists can rent a bike for 0,5 euro half an hour, locals can rent the bike for free for a certain period. In order to increase the use of bicycles, people are offered many facilities.
Interesting part of Sweden
One of the things that surprised us the most was the use of the word “bear” as a compliment. As we say “my lion” when something good is done, people in Sweden say “my bear”. If you call someone “my bear”, this is a compliment in Sweden. Don’t you think it’s interesting?
