Terapi odasındaki oyuncağı eline aldı, ayağa kalktı, oyuncağa kızgınlıkla baktı ve duvara fırlattı. Yerden alıp tekrar duvara fırlattı. ”Artık öldün sen!” diye haykırdı ve oyuncağı kumun içine tamamen gömdü... O gün- den sonra akşamları tuvalete rahatça gitmeye, geceleri tek başına yatmaya başladı. Çünkü duvara fırlattığı ve kuma gömdüğü oyuncak çocuğun geceleri korktuğu hayaletti. Çocuk oyuncağı hayaletle özdeşleştirerek korkusunu açığa çıkarmış ve duygusunu boşaltmış ve kendi korkusunu kendi başına yenmişti. Çocuk usta bir psikolog gibi kendini iyileştirmişti.
HEALING POWER; PLAY THERAPY
S/he took the toy in the therapy room, stood up, stared angrily at the toy and threw it against the wall. S/he took it from the ground and threw it back against the wall. S/he shouted, ”You are dead now!” and buried the toy inside the sand. Starting from that day, s/he went to the toilet comfortably in the evenings and went to bed alone at night. Because the toy that s/he threw at the wall and buried in the sand was the ghost that scared him/her at night. By identifying the toy with the ghost, the child revealed his/her fear and emotion and defeated his/her own fear by himself/herself. Like an expert psychologist, the child cured himself/herself.
