The warning in this verse, of course, is the way
in which the lion’s prey will be devoured. Israel
is not against the Iranian people – in fact many
Iranians are against the Tehran regime and long for
freedom. Unlike the Iranian regime that targeted
civilian locations with its precision missiles, Israel
only targeted sites being used for terror. The lion
rose and was victorious against its enemy – the
Iranian regime.
Twelve days later, Prime Minister Netanyahu
declared an “historic victory” by eliminating two
existential threats: Iran’s nuclear programme and
its 20,000 ballistic missiles.
“At the decisive moment, we rose up and
stood like lions, and our roar shook Tehran and
echoed around the world,” Netanyahu said,
referencing the Biblical analogy.
“In the scriptures, it is said: ‘By stratagems
shall you make war,’” Netanyahu continued.
“The surprise opening blow of Rising Lion will
go down in the annals of Israel's wars and will
be studied by every military in the world. In
one strike, in one blow, we eliminated Iran's
senior command, including three chiefs-of-staff
and many other senior officers. In those same
moments, we eliminated Iran's leading nuclear
scientists; those who held the knowledge, led the
nuclear programme, and sought to bring upon us
destruction and death.”
Netanyahu also described how major facilities
were destroyed with the help of US military
action, which Netanyahu praised as “historic.”
Thanksgiving
On 22 June, ten days after placing the original
note in the Western Wall, Prime Minister Netanyahu
returned to give thanks. Netanyahu offered a prayer
for the safety of the IDF as well as for the remaining
50 hostages still held captive by Hamas.
He also recited a special prayer for President
Trump, known in Hebrew as Hanoten teshuah (“He
who grants deliverance”), asking that God bless
him for standing with the Jewish nation and
against evil. At the conclusion of the prayer,
Netanyahu placed another note between the
ancient stones.
“Ten days ago, on the eve of Israel’s historic
action, I stood here and placed a note that read:
‘Behold, a nation shall rise like a lion’. Now, ten
days later, I return to the same place and leave a
note that reads: ‘Am Yisrael kam – Am Yisrael chai!’
translated ‘Behold, a nation has risen like a lion –
the Nation of Israel lives!’”

and lift up himself as a young lion."
