Khamenei’s
prophecy
The evil ideology behind the
existential threat to Israel
2040.
That was the year Ayatollah
Khamenei ‘prophesied’
would mark the complete eradication
of the State of Israel. When a digital clock
was unveiled on Quds Day in June 2017,
the mass protest in ‘Palestine Square’ in
Tehran chanted “Death to Israel,” “Death
to America,” and “Death to the UK”, while
showcasing a portfolio of ballistic missiles
capable of reaching Israel and US bases. The
clock began its countdown exactly 8,411
days to Israel’s predicted demise.
On 23rd June 2025, Israel destroyed the
clock. Literally.
Warning about the threat
For the past ten years, since our
founding in Britain, CUFI UK has been
sounding the alarm about the threat from
the Iranian regime. Through our ‘Operation
Mordecai’ campaign, we have persistently
warned the UK government of Iran’s
threat not only to the State of Israel, but
to the entire Western world. We have also
highlighted the suffering of the Iranian
people, including Iranian Christians and
Jews. There have been numerous successful

outcomes to CUFI’s campaign efforts,
including the UK’s 2019 decision to ban
Hezbollah in its entirety. That group, an
Iranian proxy, was masterfully crushed by
Israel last year, paving the way for Israel’s
military action against the Iranian regime in
June 2025.
Now we have reached a critical juncture.
In June, the IAEA announced for the first
time in 20 years that Iran had breached
nuclear protocols. It is understood that
Iran was within weeks of developing several
nuclear weapons. Israel had to act against
Iran’s development towards a nuclear
weapon. Whatever the future now holds
following the successful Operation Rising
Lion, the UK must stand shoulder-to-
shoulder with the Jewish state.
