were beaten whilst their attacker screamed
“Free Palestine.” In Switzerland, ten Jewish
students were threatened with a knife by a
man shouting, “Death to Jews.”
These incidents are not isolated. They
are symptoms of the demonisation of Israel
that has infested almost every public space.
Whether it is online, in the streets, or in
politics, hatred of Jews is being normalised,
ignored, or justified. It is never being dealt
with properly, and the result is deeply
troubling. Jews are being attacked at record
levels, far more than any other minority
group, and yet these stories barely made
the headlines.
We are witnessing, with increasing
pace, the steady fulfilment of the ancient
prophecy of the world turning against
Israel, just as Scripture foretold: “Though
all the nations of the earth are gathered
against it” (Zechariah 12:3). This is a spiritual
sign of the times we are living in.

Israel is not committing genocide. In
fact, it is one of the most humane and
restrained military forces in the world,

These ancient lies have been reborn and
repackaged. Just like the blood libels of
medieval times, and just like the blood
libels that led to the Holocaust, these new

Jews today.
As Christians, we must see the spiritual
dimension. Scripture warns that in the last
days, truth will be twisted and nations will
rise against Jerusalem:
