The United Nations, dominated by anti-
Israel blocs, continues to condemn Israel
more than all other nations combined,
while never once condemning Hamas,
Hezbollah, or the Houthis. They too join in
this moral inversion.
Even the cultural world has joined in.
Eurovision became a stage for anti-Israel
bigotry earlier this year. Other participating
nations called for Israel to be removed,
the audience booed Israel’s representative,
certain countries’ broadcasters censored
Israel’s song lyrics that spoke of October
7th, and anti-Israel protesters filled the
streets outside the venue and threatened
the Israeli participant. Yuval Raphael,
Israel’s singer, was herself a victim of
October 7th, she was wounded by shrapnel
from a Hamas grenade and hid under the
Forensics officers at Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation, 5th October 2025
dead bodies of her friends for eight hours
and survived. This amazing woman, still
suffering from the trauma of that day, had
the fortitude and courage to perform on
the world’s stage and proudly represent
Israel amidst a sea of hate. Amazingly,
she won the popular vote, meaning the

Eurovision may not be the most
important thing in the world, but there
is almost something symbolic in the fact
that the “powers that be” ensured that
Israel was not allowed to win, despite
clearly being the public favourite. There are
mounting calls for Israel to be kicked out
of Eurovision in 2026. Let us hope these
calls are resisted.
This is similar to how the UN, an entity
set up after the Holocaust to ensure it never
happened again, is now the vehicle used to
promote global hatred of the Jews. Just as
those nations that recognised a Palestinian
state, all claim to be on Israel’s side and
‘friends’, actually stabbed Israel in the back.
We must always view these things
from a Biblical perspective.
This rise in antisemitism is shocking,
it is deeply sinister, but it also reveals
the truth of Bible. Jews are returning
to Israel from all corners of the world.
Sadly, it is increasing because of
antisemitism. Antisemites know Israel
is the only country that will defend
Jews. The same spiritual forces that
drove Pharaoh to enslave the Israelites,
Haman to plot their destruction, and
Rome to burn Jerusalem are still at work
today; But so too is the same God who
delivered His people then, and who
promises to defend His people now
and always. “He who keeps Israel shall
neither slumber nor sleep” (Psalm 121:4).
