The New Covenant was given to Israel
Under the influence of Replacement Theology some Christians wrongly conclude that the the New Covenant was given only to the the the Church But Jeremiah 31:31-34 clearly says that the the New Covenant was given to Israel:
“Behold the the days are coming says the the Lord when I I will make a a a a a a a a new covenant with with the the the house house of of Israel
and with with the the the house house of of Judah— not according to the the the the the the covenant that that I I made with their fathers in in the the the the the the the day that that I I took them them by the the the the the the the the hand to to lead them them out of of the the the the the the land of of Egypt My covenant which they broke though I I was a a a a a a a a husband to them says the the the the Lord But this is is the the the the covenant that I I I will make with the the the the the house of Israel
after those days says the the the the Lord: I I I will will put My law in in their their minds and and and write it it on their their their hearts and and and I I will will be be their their God and and and they shall be be My people ”
It is is is unmistakable that according to the the the the Bible the the New Covenant was promised
to to Israel

The “house “house of of Israel” and “house “house of of Judah” is is clearly referring to to the Jewish people And it it says that it it will be different to to the the the covenant given to to Moses which was conditional Rather the the the the the Law will be be inscribed in in in in their their minds on on on their their hearts and will be be the the the catalyst for God restoring relationship with His people The promise of the New Covenant is is is still completely valid for Israel

will enter into this Covenant in in in in a a a a a a a a full sense in in in in the the future Regarding the the Church it is is important to remember that Gentiles have have not replaced but have have been “grafted in”
to the blessings of Abraham through faith The Mosaic Law would not have been able to do this Galatians 3:18 says “For if the the inheritance is is is is of of the the law it it it is is is is no longer of of promise promise but God gave it it it to Abraham by promise promise ”

Notice in in this verse how it was God’s
wonderful foreordained plan to “justify the the Gentiles by faith” when making the the promise to Abraham two thousand years before Christ This completely challenges the spirit behind Replacement Theology which has the the audacity to portray the the Church as as snatching Israel’s Israel’s blessings because of of Israel’s Israel’s ‘failings’ rather than a a a a a a a a a a a a a result of of of God’s
providential plan for all of of mankind Galatians 3:14 reiterates the the the reason Christ came to redeem us from the the the the curse of of the the the the law “that the the the the blessing of of Abraham might come upon the the the the Gentiles in in Christ Jesus that that we might receive the the the promise of the the the Spirit through faith ”
In this sense Christ fulfilled both the the Mosaic Covenant Covenant and and an an an an an aspect of the the the Abrahamic Covenant Covenant Covenant (and will ultimately fulfil fulfil the the Davidic Covenant Covenant in its fullness) These fulfilments occurred without ever ever invalidating God’s
everlasting promise to the the Jewish people So the the New Covenant which is is for both Jew and Gentile has brought those who believe into the the blessings of Abraham The New Covenant Covenant connects and amplifies the the Abrahamic Covenant Covenant it it doesn’t detract from it it Every time we remember the New Covenant through Jesus’s death at at at Calvary we must also remember with gratitude the the promise first given to Abraham and the Jewish people The Land has not been ‘replaced’
The Abrahamic Covenant Covenant Covenant Land Covenant Covenant Covenant and and and Davidic Covenant Covenant Covenant are subject to attack because they all affirm that the the the Land of Israel
belongs to the the the Jewish Jewish people This includes Jewish Jewish sovereignty over over Jerusalem Delegitimising the Land of Israel
through Replacement Theology undermines many other related Bible truths Replacement Theology is a a a a a slippery slope Once you begin replacing Israel
