COMMITTEE CHATTER
A quick word from the Committee President
Firstly I would like us all to acknowledge the work undertaken by our outgoing president Karen. In
difficult circumstances, over the last 2 years during Covid, she did a great job, thank you Karen it
was most appreciated.
Moving forward into 2022, I encourage all members to participate in the working of our branch and
its events, when called upon by the branch committee, to ensure an enjoyable outcome for all
members. Branch members are encouraged to put forward ideas for the activities being undertaken
by our branch to ensure we cater for all members old and new and to keep our branch of the Ulysses
Club strong, have variety and be interesting. Please note committee meetings are open for all to
attend and have their say, as all members are noted as equal.
After a very enjoyable social night at the Lion Thai attended by 30 members we will be having this
th
month’s social night as a Bring Your Own BBQ at the Mullaloo Beach Park on Friday 26 February.
The Swell Café, Mullaloo Tavern and Fish and Chips are close by for those looking for take away.
We are arranging a venue for a lawn bowling night for March.
Please remember that our branch has to comply with the Covid requirements of the current State
legislation and that of any Venues we visit. For the Currambine Bar and Bistro we require masks
and our vaccination certificate. It is also requested if any member becomes a close contact with
Covid, that they inform a committee member of the situation for the safety of other members.
Looking forward to a great meeting at our new (old) venue.
Alan, Stephen, Ben, Anne, Pieter
