Social Meeting
Minutes (cont)
th
Wed 11 May Midweek Ride – Beaufort 350km Phil Harvey 9:00am
start
Meeting up with Grampians Branch for some of ride and lunch.
Mark Nicoll
Ride Coordinator
Welfare Report:
Rob not in attendance – Jules spoke as below.
A few members have had COVID-19. Most have recovered well. Have received either a get-well card or
phone call from Rob Pow.
General Business:
Item 1.
Chuck Wagon
There was discussion regarding
1. the expense of insuring, registering and maintaining the chuck wagon,
2. Ongoing problems and prior expense with garaging it (at Lindsay’s free of charge at present),
3. How infrequently it is used, and
4. The fact that our members should have done a food handling course prior to the Chuck Wagon being
used at events such as the Meet and Greet and the Memorial Ride.
After discussion the proposal was to the Social Meeting that we vote on some options regarding its
future. This can be done at the next meeting or via an email vote.
Options include:
1. That we keep it if it can be garaged free of charge and keeping in mind that usually nobody has the
spare room or wants to store it for any length of time. Should we continue to pay insurance on it if we
keep it?
2. We offer the chuck wagon for sale to other Branches
3. If no takers from other branches, then sell it in tact or to sell all the components and advertise the
trailer just as a trailer
Item 2.
Patt C was concerned that the Exhaust Note have become a very big file due to the number of photos in
it. There was some discussion, however, there was no other support for Patt’s view.
Item 3.
Removal of Ulysses memorabilia from Robert Hunt’s garage. Jules and Phil
will attend to this, do a stock take and then we will auction off any T-shirts etc
at a future meeting.
Next Meeting: To be held on 18 May, 2022 commencing at 7 p.m. meals
from 6.00pm.
Meeting closed at 8.00p.m.
