Happy New Year brothers and sisters. I hope your Christmas was a joyous time filled with family, friends,
joy, peace and love. And now, together, we look towards the new year.
Made any new year resolutions? A bit hard with such an uncertain year ahead. We are living through
changing times, that’s for sure. I say “living through” rather than “living in” because our situation is not static,
and because we will get through this. How do I know this? Well, we got through polio didn’t we? Covid
queue? That’s not a queue. Polio immunization queues in the 1950s – now THAT’s a queue! We’ve done
it all before.

So regardless of what Covid and our leaders have in store for us we can still dream, still look forward, still
anticipate. What have you got planned for 2022? Big plans – small plans? It doesn’t matter. What matters
is that we have hope – for it is hope that nourishes the human spirit. I wish you a hopeful 2022.
We are, each of us, the author of our own story. What will be the 2022 chapter of your story?
