What do you call a corner market who doesn’t? “Distracted”.
What do you call a Tail End Charlie who gets in front of the last rider? “A pathfinder” (one who goes before).
What do you call a ride leader who gets behind Tail End Charlie? “Lost”.
The K2 Award was presented in absentia to Phil Duffy for creative idiocy, some would even say artistic
idiocy. There is a grace and choreography to Phil’s idiocy that is unique.
Need we say more? Here’s the balletic way Phil parks his outfit at the
Krooze.
December VBC at Cohuna
It’s great to be back in business again!
Cohuna is approximately 240kms from Stawell and the weather on Friday was great for riding, with the ride
home on Saturday being perfect. The route was St Arnaud , Charlton, Boort and Kerang, where Debbie and
I stayed in a local motel which was very nice. We had dinner at the Exchange Hotel which, as luck would
have it, was only half a block up the road, and dinner was excellent.
Saturday morning and Debbie had to get back for work so I rode the last 30kms from Kerang to Cohuna. As
I approached the town I started to see some motorcycles, and down the road a bit more I noticed more
motorcycles, and then even more so I pulled in next to some Melbourne Branch bikes. I strode around
chatting to various members from many other branches and was soon guided to the shop doing a very good
breakfast which I thoroughly enjoyed.
Breakfast was done and back outside for more chatting, jokes and some interesting stories. It was great to
see some Melbourne members who I hadn’t seen for some time, also great to see some Central Highlands
members again - it was excellent to be catching up with the VBC crew in general. Grampians Branch was
represented by four members, Holly, Di and Jill (or Gill I’m not sure how to spell that) but three female
members and me. Next month and next year it’s in Ballarat at the Krooze in Café, and on the Sunday
another Ballarat Bike Night to be held in the former Masters Carpark which is well worth a look. I shall be
there for both events.

Editor: Seen on a kitchen benchtop. I’m not saying it was old, but I refused to eat it until I knew exactly
which world war it had been prepared for. I was told in a menacing tone: “The next one.” I ate it.
