Bill Gillespie – Wednesday 5 October
Nine riders decided on a visit to Northam Dome via Toodyay Road as it’s been a while since we’ve been
there. Firstly a warm welcome to Ken McLennan on his Kawasaki Versys, on his first Wednesday ride.
As we headed out through Neaves road, some of us with wet weather gear on, in anticipation of an
occasional shower, the sky soon cleared up for an enjoyable dry ride. Up through Brigadoon we
encountered a young Skippy bounding down the road in front of us unwilling to let us past, I was starting
to think this little fellow could lead us all the way up and down the whoop de do’s. Finally he did a u- turn
in front of a truck and took off in the opposite direction.
When we were getting closer to our destination on Katrine road off the Toodyay- Northam road, in
between dodging pot holes and admiring the beautiful scenery, all I could think about was whether TEC
Heggoronie was causing a cattle stampede back there with his noisy Ninja.
Finally arriving at the Dome cafe, the usual chin wag sessions followed. Thanks to TEC Heggie and
everyone’s company.
