Chris Hill’s Dam Ride Sunday 25th September

A somewhat chilly start this morning however 14 people on 12 bikes joined me on a ride to Bistro on the
Dam. It was great to have Martin on his Triumph Triple join us for the first time. We headed out through
the burbs and found ourselves heading up Grt Eastern Hwy and out through Mundaring, a stop at the Weir
was in order and I must say the Weir was looking very healthy for a change(must have been wetter than I
realised) Then on through Pickering Brook, Karragullen, Roleystone, out past Canning Dam and a quick
squirt up the Brookton Hwy and in through Jarrahdale brought us in to the Serpentine Dam and our stop
for lunch. Busy doesn’t describe it , not having made a reservation made it difficult to fit an extra 14 hungry
souls however the staff went out of their way to accommodate us and by all accounts the food was great.
Nearly 350 kms for yours truly by the time I got home a great ride with great companions see you all next
time.
