About us:
The Ulysses Club, as a club for older motorcyclists’, welcomes riders aged 40
years and over to join. We are proud of being one of the largest social clubs
in Australia, with around 130 branches and 2 special interest groups’ right
throughout Australia, so opportunity exists to make new friends as you

At the beginning:
Ulysses Club Inc. is a social club for motorcyclists over the age of 40.The
original suggestion for the club was put forward in a letter by Stephen
Dearnley published in the August 1983 edition of Bike Australia. The

Membership:
Treasurer Membership of the Club is open to any person, subject to the National
Committee approval, who has attained the age of 40 years and hold a
current motorcycle licence. Additionally, the spouse or regular partner of
the member who has attained the age of 40 years may also be admitted as

Committee Members We would like to remind our members that all official Newcastle Lower
Hunter Branch rides and events are posted in our Ride Calendar.
All Sunday rides leave from Hexham McDonalds at 9.00am unless otherwise
stated in the Ride Calendar.
All Midweek rides leave from Hexham McDonalds at 9.30am unless
otherwise stated in the Ride Calendar.
Ride Guidelines:
John Lind 0412 509 668 Arrive early and prepared: alert, check bike condition, fuel tank is full.
Riders ride within their own limits (ride your own ride) and observe
speed limits and other rules of the road.
Do not overtake anyone on the left (unless in separately marked lane).
Tail end Charlie rides at a safe distance behind the slowest rider and
indicates to each corner marker that they may continue with the ride.
Riders inform Tail end Charlie if they intend to leave the ride.

Branch Social Meetings:
The branch meets on the second Saturday of the month at Wallsend Diggers
Sports Club, Fogo Street, Wallsend. Dinner is available at the club bistro
from 6pm with the meeting commencing at 7pm.
