Since 21st July, with the help of our IT Partners, the Club
has operated from Linda’s home. The only service we cannot
provide is delivery of merchandise ordered online from the Gear
Shop. If you have recently ordered gear, unfortunately delivery
will be delayed until the Sydney lockdown is lifted.
We have now passed the milestone for on-line delivery of

members about the demise of the ‘free’ paper magazine
LW DSSHDUV RQO\ SDSHU FRSLHV ZLOO EH UHTXLUHG WR IXO¿O
members’ needs. When I factor this into our trading results
it is clear the decision to move on-line will be vindicated. Our
trading result to end June 2021 was a loss of $48k. Of that loss,
production and distribution of Riding On accounted for $62.5k
– after moving on-line the magazine will cost in order of $8k
per edition. So it is apparent that moving RO on line will have
VLJQL¿FDQW EHQH¿W WR WKH &OXE¶V ¿QDQFHV

Since my wife passed away in March, I have spent considerable
time contemplating my future and the activities I would like
to involve myself with in 2022 and beyond. I will be 77 years
ROG DW WKH QH[W $*0 DQG DIWHU VHYHQ \HDUV RQ 1DW&RP ,
believe I have made a reasonable, honest contribution. There is
a narrowing window of time for me to do the around Australia
jaunt or be able to ride my bike to wherever, whenever.
Consequently, I shall not be nominating for a role on NatCom
for 2022 and beyond. Nominations for National Committee,
including for National Treasurer, close on 30th November 2021.
