4. Re-orientation
The last part of the narrative text structure
usually contains a conclusion, moral value, or a
change in character at the end of the story.
Reorientation is optional because it does not always
have to be present in a narrative text.
2. Main Information
Intrinsic elements are elements contained in a
narrative text which are usually important points in
a story, usually intrinsic elements consist of:
- Theme:
Theme is the main idea that form the base of a
story. Theme is a message or an expression of the
author to convey to the readers.
- Characters and Characterization:
Characters are the person in the story while
characterization is the author's way of describing
and developing the traits and characteristics of
these characters. Characterization includes the
physical, psychological and social characteristics
of the character.
There are three main types of characters in stories:
- Protagonist:
The main character who usually has good
personality and acts as a hero.
- Antagonist:
