Keynote Speaker

P astor Joel Esperance II was born in Haiti and is the son

of the late Reverend Pastor Joel Esperance I and Mrs.
Anne Esperance. He received a formal French education

and graduated in 1976.

Pastor Joel was relocated in the United States of America
in October 1979. In 1991, he earned an Associate degree in Business Management at

Lakeland Community College in Mentor, Ohio. In June 1993, he earned and a Bachelor
of Science at Myers University, in Cleveland, Ohio. In December 1998, he received an
MBA at Baldwin-Wallace University in Berea, Ohio. Pastor Joel worked for an Air-
craft Engine Parts Manufacturer, PCC Airfoils, as a Human Resources Specialist.

Pastor Joel moved to Jacksonville, Florida in 2007. He worked for FCCJ (now FSCJ)
as a Project Manager and later worked at Wells Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery as an
Administrative Assistant.

Pastor Joel was saved at an early age, but he rededicated his life to Christ in 2008 at
Hope Chapel Ministries. Through the teaching of the true Word of God from Dr.
Jeannette C. Holmes-Vann, the Lord prepared him for ministry. In November 2009,

He moved to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to work in a Government Project as Metal-
lurgical Instructor, in Khamis Mushayt, KSA.

The Lord opened a door for him to minister and share the truth of the Gospel he had

received at Hope Chapel through the teaching of his pastor, to a small group of believ-
ers. The Lord favored him, and the group grew rapidly from 15 to 187 members. He
was ordained as a pastor in 2011. He was then given a Theatre to gather for his ser-
vices by the Muslim owners of the compound. Then, at the end of 2015, Pastor Joel,

through those blessings, founded the first openly Christian church in Khamis Mu-
shayt, KSA. During that time, he travelled extensively throughout the world sharing
the gospel to the people of the Philippines, South Africa, Ethiopia, Jordan and Egypt,
to name a few. He has authored a book, “I Sat Where You Sit” published by Tate Pub-

lisher, in 2008.

Pastor Joel is married to his lovely wife of 34 years, Kettline Esperance. They have
two children, Joel J. Esperance III, and Richard P. Esperance, and two grandchildren,

Kianna and Rajjah.
