KEYNOTE SPEAKER

Carlton Robinson is an entrepreneur and has 20 years of experience in
management, leading and serving entrepreneurs, and processes & in-
novation. He earned a bachelors of science degree from West Virginia
Wesleyan and an MBA from City University, both in Information Sys-
tems. He began his professional career in consumer finance and retail
banking for a Fortune 50 firm. While working full-time, he earned a
doctorate from University of Sarasota in management and a graduate
certificate from Penn State University in Community and Economic
Development.

Dr. Robinson is a scholar-practitioner who is constantly evaluating the
fit of entrepreneurial activity to the requirements of entrepreneurism.
Through trial and error, in his roles as an entrepreneur, facilitator, pro-
gram director, and a published author he has created new understand-
ings of entrepreneurial activity and research. He is a certified Kauff-
man Fasttrac Facilitator; certified program director for the National
Center for Economic Gardening; and a co-organizer of the inaugural
Jacksonville Startup Weekend. He currently leads the JAX Bridges pro-
gram as the Senior Director for JAX Chamber Entrepreneurial Growth
Division.
