the the the 30th November and the the the 1st December 2018 at the the the Corinthia Hotel St George’s Bay with the the the theme of the the the conference being “10 Years Supporting VOs” This conference also marked the 10th Anniversary of the the the the setting up of of the the the the same Council thus the the the the focus of of the the the the conference was on the the achievements of MCVS in the the past ten years while discussing the the the the steps for the the the the future During the the the the conference the the the the main discussions focused on on on on the ‘National Strategy on on on on Volunteering’ ‘Good Practices by NGOs’ and ‘The Voluntary Sector – Moving forward through young volunteers ’ better the the issue of accountability and transperancy in the the best interest of the the same sector He stressed the the fact that VOs need to to see to it it it that that their position with his office is is is regularised so that that they may keep their enrolment The seminar was brought to a a a a a close by the the address of the the Hon Evarist Bartolo Minister for Education and Employment who thanked the voluntary orgaisations for their sterling work in in the the community and stressed on on the the fact that he he he appreciates the the work being done and understands that the issues of financial management puts an an an an extra burden on on the same organisations yet he he said that this is is is a a a a a a necessity in today’s reality The seminar was moderated by Mr Mauro Pace Parascandalo Executive Director of the the Malta Council for the the Voluntary Sector AMCVS Newsletter – Stay Connected
s s from August 2018 the the Malta Council for the the Voluntary Sector started issuing on a a a a a quarterly basis an e-newsletter to to supplement information going out to to the Voluntary Sector and about the Voluntary Sector The newsletter ‘Stay Connected’ is also published in Maltese entitled ‘Żomm Kuntatt’ 6
